Winter Shelters are operated by community-based organizations, volunteer groups, and communities of faith across Randolph County.
Hours of operation and criteria for opening will be determined.
However, Winter Shelters typically open when overnight temperatures
are expected to be below 32 degrees F.

- A warm, dry place to sleep
- A meal served nightly
- Benefits and service coordination Housing assistance
- Winter clothing, hygiene kits, and other necessities Information and referrals to essential human services.

Shelter Expectations for Guests Staying the night
The Shelter is committed to serving all eligible individuals and works to promote a safe environment for all individuals being served. To keep a safe environment, the following behaviors have been identified as reasons for asking a guest to leave.
▪ Physical threats
▪ Verbal threats of violence or harm
▪ Physical violence to staff, volunteers or other guests
▪ Sexual misconduct and/or assault
▪ Direct observation of participant engaging in illegal activity on site
▪ The use of or selling of illegal substances ON the site premises
▪ Activities that put the site at risk (arson, destruction of property, having a firearm)
